Ellen Trout Zoo
The award winning Ellen Trout Park & Zoo is one of Lufkin’s most popular attractions for visitors of all ages. One of the best small town zoos in Texas beautifully display’s hundreds of animals in a very natural setting. The zoo also provides a miniature train ride across the lake among the trees and other vegetation.

Texas Forestry Museum
The museum contains a vast amount of exhibits from a logging locomotive, log loader, log car and depot from the early sawmill era. Bob Flournoy’s detailed model of the township of Manning TX, is also a favorite item on display. Bob actually grew up living in the Mansion on Sawmill Lake. Open seven days a week, free admission.

The Museum of East Texas
